OPEL Olympia

Opel Olympia- it is a small, family car which was produced by Opel company with intervals from 1935 to 1970. First series from 1935 to 1940, second from 1947 to 1953 and the last one from 1967 to 1970. The car had been demonstrated for the first time in February 1935 in Berlin Motor Show. Opel named this model „Olympia“ to celebrate planned for 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin. It was the first mass-produced car in Germany. From 1935 to 1937 Olympia had assembled an engine with 1,3 l capacity. In Olympia OL38 model, which was produced from 1937 to 1940 there was implemented entity with 1,5 l capacity. Depicted model was used after the Second World War in Katowice district where it was driven on Polish roads. In 2012 the car was renovated. The colour of body was changed from black to beige.
